Contract/Freelance (15 hours per week)
Job Description
Must complete free registration as a consultant with Clora to apply.
We are a venture-backed, clinical-stage biotech company developing a first-in-class oral therapy for type 2 diabetes and other metabolic conditions. The therapeutic is a novel gut restricted oral drug that replicates the effects of bariatric surgery.
We are looking for a head of Clinical Development Science to support our early clinical development programs focused on type 2 diabetes and other portfolio indications building on our current Phase 1 healthy volunteer study in Australia. The successful candidate will have input in all stages of the clinical development process, from preclinical to registration.
Our ideal consultant will be an MD/Ph.D with a minimum of 3-5 years in Clinical Development and preferably 10+ of Clinical Science experience in the pharmaceutical industry/Biotech experience (research and/or medical affairs), preferably in metabolic diseases /type 2 diabetes. The consultant will ideally have a demonstrated history of strong translational medicine skills.
This role is scoped for 15-20 hours a week for 5-6 months with an option to extend. Travel to the Boston area is preferable.
Responsibilities
Drive the clinical development of early stage programs in T2D and other metabolic disorders
Accountable for translational science and clinical study design, CDP, and TPP finalization
Authoring clinical and regulatory briefing documents (e.g. protocols, CSRs, IBs, CTA) and driving advisory meetings with KOLs to inform ClinReg Strategy
