What is DermExpert?
DermExpert is an artificial intelligence powered machine learning algorithm that has been shown to improve diagnostic accuracy of dermatologic conditions. It is built for primary care, emergency medicine, and other non-dermatologist clinicians.
You start by using the in-app camera to take a secure, HIPAA compliant photograph of the lesion in question. Then, you follow the prompts to add patient-specific information to generate a list of matching images of possible diagnoses, along with the likelihood of each one.
Additionally, it has a larger database of reference images of patients with skin of color than any other dermatology reference out there. Furthermore, use of VisualDx has been shown to improve clinic workflow and save healthcare professionals time during their busy day.
